Strike Force Heroes 2 - Weapon Attachments

Welcome to the first development update of the new forums!
We know many of you really wanted attachments, and even put up a few great ideas for them. So, here they are!

Attachments for every weapon.
In SFH2, every primary weapon has it's own set of attachments. That includes Rocket Launchers, Grenade Launchers, and even attachments for Flame Throwers.

Stat Adjustments
Many of the attachments will give adjustments to your stats, such as boosting damage, accuracy, or recoil. There's usually an attachment for every style of play. The Laser Sight for example, rewards precision hits by increasing damage done by criticals or headshots. Though for less accurate players, they may want to equip better scopes, which increases accuracy and vision range.





Abilities
Some attachments even grant new abilities to your player or weapon. The heartbeat sensor will give constant vision of enemies on the radar, at the cost of increasing your weapon's recoil. Different ammo types will also give some unique effects. With one of the many different ammo types, you can get a chance to set enemies on fire, freeze them, or even do more damage against flesh.





Level and Quality
As you find higher level attachments, their stats will also grow. For example, A LVL 1 Silencer may give +10% more range, while a LVL 50 Silencer could give up to +25% weapon range. Weapon quality also has a huge effect on attachments. Not only do higher quality attachments give better stats, but their negative stats are also much lower. As you can see below, the Silencer reduces your damage by 18%. A perfect Silencer would only reduce damage by 14%. Of course, if you're unfortunate enough to find a rusted or broken silencer, it may reduce your damage by a whopping 25%!

So even though higher quality attachments can't get special properties like weapons can, the quality still makes a huge difference to the stats they give.





Extra Notes
Weapon attachments are now a huge part of further customizing your character. Whether you want more damage, more range, the ability to inflict certain status elements, or to strengthen your characters weaknesses, you can do it with weapon attachments.

I wonder if we can equip multiple weapon attachments, or just one.

It will probably depend on what kind of attachments, maybe you can equip one scope, one sensor, one recoil reducer, etc. Or maybe just two of any, or three of any. Who knows, maybe there will just be one

Will the attachments be visible in game? If so, will we be able to see enemy and friendly attachments?

Just one. The point is to chose the bonus you want the most, rather than equip 3-4 attachments and just make your gun super powerful.

Yes, you can easily see other soldiers attachments to know what sort of bonuses they have.
